Grove Parents & Stakeholders,
Today, there was a report of a safety concern reported at E.W. Grove School. When we are made aware of these situations, we respond immediately. We were able to investigate the situation swiftly and have been in communication with the appropriate law enforcement. There is no credible threat to students or staff on our campus. Students are secure within the school, and SROs are on campus and aware. Thank you for your patience as we secure the campus and actively ensure the safety of our students and staff. As always, we ask you to talk with your children about the role they play in school safety. If they hear or see something concerning, they should report it immediately to an adult. This will allow the school and authorities to respond most efficiently to safety concerns. Student safety continues to be the most important part of our jobs, and it is a responsibility that the entire Henry County School System staff takes very seriously. The Truancy Department at the Henry County School System has implemented a new dial out system, and the call inadvertently went out district-wide instead of to the parents of absent students.

Henry County Schools will have an abbreviated day on Friday, March 17, 2023. Dismissal times are as follows: Harrelson, Henry, and Lakewood Schools will dismiss at 11:00 AM Grove will dismiss at 11:20 AM HCHS will dismiss at 11:30 AM Spring Break is March 20-24, 2023. No school. Have a wonderful break!
