Grove Parents & Stakeholders,
It is hard to believe it is already November! Once the Holiday Season approaches, the first semester ends quickly. We have a lot going on this month and next.
Picture Retake Day
Fall Picture retakes are scheduled for Thursday, November 2nd. Students should only request a retake if they were absent on the original picture day, or if there was a problem with the first picture. (ex. eyes closed, picture defect, etc.)
MQ3 Grading Period
The MQ3 Grading period will end on Friday November 10th. The next report card will come home with students on November 21st.
Veteran's Day Program
Grove students will participate in a Veteran's Day program on Friday, November 10th in the Grove Gymnasium. We are cordially inviting all family members who are presently in the military, or who have served in the military, to attend our Veteran’s Day Program on Friday, November 10th at 8:00 a.m. in the Grove Gym, immediately followed by breakfast in the Cafeteria. If you plan to attend, please contact Mrs. Carpenter or Mrs. Green in the Counselor’s Office by Monday, November 6th.
If you would like to share military photos for our slideshow, please include Veteran’s name and any details you would like to share about their service, relation to your student, with your student’s name and homeroom teacher on the back. You may also respond or send photos directly to carpenterl@henryk12.net.
GPAC Meeting
The next GPAC meeting is on Monday, November 13th in the Grove Library at 5:15 P.M. All parents/guardians of Grove students are invited to attend even if you have not attended a meeting yet this school year.
Pledge to Graduate Assembly
We will have our annual Pledge to Graduate assembly in the Grove Gymnasium on Friday, November 17th. Students will recite a Pledge to Graduate in 2027. At lunch on this day, students will have an opportunity to sign a large Class of 2027 Banner. This banner will follow the Class of 2027 to Henry County High School next year. The banner will also be on display on the field when students walk the line on Graduation Day in May 2027.
Thanksgiving Break
Thanksgiving Break is Wednesday, November 22nd - Friday November 24th.
