Final Exams
Students will take Final Exams on Wednesday, May 17th in their 3rd and 4th block classes. Final exams will be taken on Thursday, May 18th in their 1st and 2nd block classes. Classroom teachers will tell students whether or not they are exempt from the exam in each class.
Final Exam Exemption Policy
Eligibility Criteria for Exemptions
The student will receive exam exemption if s/he maintains a(n):
A average and no more than three attendance events (unexcused absences, tardies, early check-outs, etc.)
B average and no more than two attendance events (unexcused absences, tardies, early check-outs, etc.)
Tardies are counted up to the day the exam is administered. Tardies are on a class by class basis. An exemption from a final exam is not granted if during the semester the student is sent to ISS, alternative school or receives a suspension.
Exemptions are for end of semester classroom final exams only.
Special Circumstances
· Students who register after the fifth day of a semester are not eligible for final exam exemptions.
· Any student who qualifies for an exemption has the option to take the final exam. However, the grade received on the exam will be computed in the final semester average.
· A student enrolled in dual-enrollment or dual-credit courses will be required to take the final exam per policy of the credit-issuing school.
Report Card Pickup Day
Friday, May 19th is Report Card Pick-up Day. Students MAY come on this date to pick up report cards. Report cards may be viewed on Student/ParentVue if preferred.
Students who attend on this day will be dismissed at 11:20 A.M.
Summer School
Summer School will be held at Henry County High School from May 24th - June 16th. Any Grove students who have failed a graduation requirement this school year need to attend. I have attached a flyer about Summer School and how to register. Summer School flyer
Josten's Class of 2026 Gear
The Josten's representative will bring the Class of 2026 gear on Tuesday, May 16th for those students who ordered it.
